Morrison Construction, one of the five Principal Supply Chain Partners under Frameworks Scotland delivered a modern, highly integrated Nuclear Medicine Department including a 3 camera imaging facility, non imaging laboratories and Radiopharmacy (Clean Room) within Ninewells Hospital. The project consisted of a new two storey building, including a rooftop plant room, provision of a new substation with backup generator and the redevelopment of the ambulance turning circle and outpatient parking bays.
This was an extremely challenging project undertaken on a congested site, within a live working hospital environment. During construction strict HAI Scribe procedures were adopted to ensure no disruption was caused to the adjacent live Operating Theatres and Wards. The complex services installation was carried out without disruption to the live hospital services. Working in co-operation with the NHS Board, the project was handed over on time and below budget, demonstrating the effectiveness of Frameworks Scotland.
