AECOM have a very experienced dedicated Healthcare team of over one hundred strong who have been involved with all Health Boards across Scotland in the last 9 years on both Frameworks Scotland 2 and its predecessor Frameworks Scotland. Recent acclaimed project deliveries include full Multi Disciplinary in house services on the NHS Louisa Jordan Temporary Hospital and the increase to Scotland’s COVID Test Laboratories in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

AECOM’s Cost Advisor Health Team is a unique mix of vastly experienced Cost Advisors, Life Cycle Cost Assessors, Risk Analysts and Value Engineering practitioners who bring a dedicated integrated offering on all Healthcare projects to bring Best Value to their client’s projects. Their team has a defining knowledge of the NEC Contract on which Frameworks Scotland 2 & 3 are founded. Our Cost Managers were a fundamental part of our delivery of the NHS Louisa Jordan Hospital in Glasgow in April 2020.

AECOM’s Lead Advisor Health Team is a unique mix of experienced Project Managers, Cost Advisors, Building Surveyors, Supervisors, Architectural, MEP and Structural Engineering Designers, Acousticians, Fire Engineers and CDM Co-ordinator practitioners who bring a unique one stop shop dedicated Multi Disciplinary integrated offering on all Healthcare projects to bring Best Value to their client’s projects. AECOM’s teams have a long and outstanding track record of delivery on complex and challenging Healthcare projects. Their team has a defining knowledge of Healthcare compliance criteria and of the NEC Contract on which Frameworks Scotland 2 and 3 are founded.

In 2020 AECOM lead the Lead Advisor service that delivered the NHS Louisa Jordan Hospital at the SEC/Hydro, Glasgow. This provided 1036 in-patient beds in a three week period in the most challenging of circumstances in the pandemic to huge acclaim from clients and industry alike.

AECOM’s Lead Advisor team in winter 2020 also delivered the new COVID Test Labs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen that greatly enhanced the nation’s text production ability by 65,000 a day. All delivered in a three month period.

AECOM have worked with all Principal Supply Chain Partners and  all Boards across the country in a number of key projects over Frameworks Scotland’s duration. On Frameworks Scotland 2 they are carrying out Lead Advisor Duties on:

  • NHS Louisa Jordan Temporary Hospital – SEC Glasgow. 1036 bed Temp Hospital delivered over a three week period!
  • NSS Scotland – New COVID Test Labs in Glasgow, Edinburgh an Aberdeen – over a three month period from inception to operation! Increases test capacity by 65,000 per day.
  • NHS Lanarkshire Projects 2020-2024 – Delivery of capital projects across the Board’s Estate  with circa £6m capital spend a year anticipated.
  • NHS Forth Valley – Full Lead Advisor services on new £5m Elective Care Ward unit and increased car parking capacity
  • NHS Ayrshire & Arran – NSAIS , new £6m Adolescent Mental Health Unit in Irvine. PM, CM and Supervisor services.
  • NHS National Services Scotland – Design Assurance Compliance review on various projects at Baird & ANCHOR  Aberdeen and Elective Centres in Highland and Fife.

The Lead Advisor Role is an extremely important role to Boards  and to Frameworks Scotland 2 & 3 and AECOM’s large range of Multi -Services Disciplines, all within their own Business, gives them a unique experience, efficiency and programming of service delivery.

Their team has a defining knowledge of the NEC Contract on which Frameworks Scotland 2 & 3 are founded.

  • NHS Louisa Jordan Hospital, Glasgow
  • Golden Jubilee Hospital , Clydebank – new, phased, £80m Elective Care Expansion. Phase 1, £12m Ophthalmology is first of the new Elective Care Centres to be opened, in Autumn 2020.
  • NSS Scotland PMO role on new COVID Test Labs in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen
  • NHS Grampian – New £12m Mortuary, Aberdeen  for North East Scotland
  • NHS Lothian – £40m new Royal Victoria Building, Edinburgh.

AECOM’s Supervisor Health Team is a unique mix of experienced NEC Supervisors, Clerk of Works, Project Managers, Building Surveyors, Services /Architectural and Structural Engineering Technical Designers, Acousticians and Fire Engineer practitioners who bring a unique dedicated one-stop shop integrated offering, on all Healthcare projects to bring Best Value to their client’s projects. Their team has a defining knowledge of the NEC Contract on which Frameworks Scotland 2 & 3 and the Supervisor role are founded. We are the most experienced Supervisors in the HFS Framework.
