The Frameworks Scotland 2 Team were delighted to receive a Highly Commended Award for Client of the Year 2016 at this year’s NEC Users’ Group Annual Seminar held in London.
The NEC Awards recognise excellence in project delivery and showcase examples of good practice through collaboration from across the world.
Entries came from a cross-section of organisations regardless of size, type and sector. This meant being a finalist, or a winner, was a real achievement and testament to the great work carried out by the individual, team, project, collaboration or organisation.
The theme for the awards has always been collaboration using NEC3 contracts, the awards were as follows:
- NEC small project of the year – This award was for a project(s) up to £0.5m. Candidates gave a description of best practice collaboration achieved on their NEC project(s) with particular emphasis on clause 10.1.
- NEC large project of the year – This award was for any project(s) over £0.5m. Candidates gave a description of best practice collaboration achieved on their NEC project(s) with particular emphasis on clause 10.1.
- NEC client of the year award – This award was for any client organisation. Candidates gave a description of best practice collaboration achieved with their supply chain on their NEC project(s) with particular emphasis on clause 10.1.
- NEC contractor of the year award – This award was for any contracting organisation. Candidates gave a description of best practice collaboration achieved on their NEC project(s) with particular emphasis on clause 10.1.
The robust judging criteria sought to identify those innovative projects and organisations that were able to demonstrate successful cooperation and to have worked in the spirit of mutual trust and cooperation.
Previous accolades awarded to the Frameworks Scotland team in recognition of their collaborative approach to working include GO Awards for Team of the Year, Best Customer Engagement of the Year, and Procurement innovation of the Year.
