Frameworks Scotland which came to an end in July 2013, saw 62 projects registered across Scotland over its four-year duration.
The framework saw 55 projects with a value of £426m delivered to date, with a further 7 projects valued at £87m currently on site and due to conclude between now and 2017.
Facilities delivered covered the length and breadth of Scotland. These ranged from the £111m Matthew Hay Emergency Care Centre in Grampian to the new £11.5m dental facilities in remote areas of Scotland such as the Western Isles, Skye, Thurso and Campbelltown.
Other successfully delivered projects included the £26.5m Midpark Hospital in Dumfries, two dental centres in Fife and Whinhill Health Centre in Aberdeen, which was the first healthcare facility delivered under Frameworks Scotland to receive a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) Excellent rating, together with the Foresterhill Energy Centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the Royal Victoria Building in Edinburgh. Other facilities to achieve BREEAM Excellent under Frameworks Scotland included Possilpark Health & Care Centre in Glasgow, Lochfield Road Primary Care Centre in Dumfries and The Vale Centre for Health & Care in Alexandria.
Further schemes successfully delivered included Migdale Hospital in Bonar Bridge, mental health facilities at both Leverndale and Dykebar Hospitals in Glasgow, together with major refurbishment and reconfiguration schemes across the NHS Lanarkshire, Grampian and Greater Glasgow & Clyde estates, ranging from catering and kitchen facilities to major ward upgrades and backlog maintenance works to the transformation of Accident & Emergency facilities at Glasgow Royal Infirmary into the largest Accident & Emergency care facility in Europe.
Schemes due for delivery between 2015 and 2017 include the Teaching & Learning facility and New Office block at the New South Glasgow University Hospital campus, the West of Scotland Satellite Radiotherapy facility at Monklands Hospital, which will be known as the Lanarkshire Beatson and which will serve Boards in the West of Scotland complementing the existing Beatson Unit in Glasgow, together with major refurbishment and reconfiguration works in both NHS Highland, Grampian, Tayside and Ayrshire & Arran.
