University Hospital Monklands, a district general hospital in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire managed by NHS Lanarkshire, has won the ‘Refurbishment Project of the Year’ at the Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards 2019.
Involving a complex 12-phase programme, GRAHAM’s transformation of Monklands Hospital has significantly enhanced the standard of patient care delivered to a catchment population of 260,000.
Judges recognised that the work on the theatre and intensive care unit was ‘completed with minimal disruption to patient care and clinical activity’.
The Healthcare Estates IHEEM awards, hosted in Manchester in October 2019, gathered over 640 guests from the NHS and commercial Healthcare sector.
